Mary, we greet thee, Mother and Queen all merciful:our life, our sweetness, and our hope, we greet thee!
To thee we exiles, children of Eve, lift our crying;to thee we send our sighs, as mourning and weeping we pass through this valley of tears.
Therefore we pray, be our gracious helper;look with pity, with eyes of loving tenderness, upon us sinners.
And at the end, when this earthly exile shall be over, show us the blessed fruit of thy womb,Jesus.
O loving! O gentle! O most sweet Virgin Mary!
